Sports Pavilion Victoria Recreation Ground Portslade

A new sports pavilion has been constructed at the recreation ground to accommodate the relocated Portslade bowls club and provide facilities for the local community football teams.  The project also included extensive works to construct an all-weather bowling green, carried out by a specialist contractor.

The football facilities are in line with requirements for a Step 7 facility, which is the highest level in community football, and include four changing rooms for home and away teams and match officials, a function room and kitchen.

The building is of traditional construction with masonry superstructure and the roof comprising JJI joists with a single ply covering and Green (Sedum) Roof finish which also incorporates photovoltaic panelling.   External works include hard landscaping and an access road.
